New Village Academy facilitates homeschooling for students and is affiliated with an accredited private school in Florida. While they operate both online and as a traditional brick-and-mortar institution, they do not participate in scholarship programs.
Yes, our partner school is approved by the FLDOE.
Each course has its own final exam or project and there is no comprehensive program exam. However, as an accredited school our students take the Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment every year. This exam is taken at home and does not affect individual course grades but provides a baseline for student academic growth. Students are officially promoted when all course grades are passing, and the MAP is completed.
They have developed most of their own curriculum based on State of Florida standards. Certified teachers in every subject area contributed to this development. All their lessons are available online and are accessible 24 hours a day.
Diplomas do not state that our partner school is a distance education institution. Distance education is increasingly popular, and that you are enrolling in an alternative school that is established and meets both state requirements for operation and is regionally accredited.
